Connect an AI agent
Ask DepDelta from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Codex, over MCP.
DepDelta is an MCP server, so an agent can ask it what an upgrade changes without you pasting anything. Its address:
MCP server address
https://api.depdelta.com/mcp| Agent | How it connects |
|---|---|
| Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop) | Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector. Name it DepDelta, paste the address, sign in when asked. |
| ChatGPT | Plugins, Add, Add custom MCP server. Paste the address, keep OAuth, then Allow on DepDelta's page. |
| Claude Code | Run claude mcp add --transport http depdelta https://api.depdelta.com/mcp, then /mcp to sign in. |
| Cursor, VS Code, Codex | Add the address to the agent's MCP settings with an API key from Settings. |
Then ask in your own words, such as "Check DepDelta: what breaks if I bump eslint from 8.57.0 to 9.0.0?". The agent can call:
compare_versions- What changed between two versions and what will break, breaking changes first.
search- Find a package or a range by name.
fetch- Read a package or a range that search found.
index_comparison- Start reading a range DepDelta hasn't read yet. This one needs an account.
Without an account, an agent reads any range DepDelta has already read, and gets a link to open the others on the site. Signed in, or with a key, it can start reading a range itself, within an hourly limit. When you sign in, DepDelta asks before it lets the agent in. Disconnect it any time in Settings under Connected agents.
